The Japanese automotive tradition is rich in history and real gems that have left a lasting mark on the industry. From the collaboration of some brands like Nissan and Honda comes an anime series of the racing genre by the authors of Mobile Suit Gundam. Hello driver.
A trailer for Hi-Drivers, the anime series created by the animation studio behind Gundam, was recently released online. sunrise, and Bandai Namco. Various contributions are made to this work Japanese automakerincluding Subaru and the giant Toyota.
We still know little about the plot of Hi-Drivers, but from the first promotional video it appears that we will see cars of every era, such as the Honda NSX and its new generation counterpart, the Subaru WRX STi and Subaru BRZ, the Toyota GR Supra and the Nissan GT-R. And who knows that the car designed by the author of Dragon Ball will not appear. Depending on the vehicle type Japanese JDM’sthe narrative will be about street racing and will not follow any “official” championship.
This new series will be a direct competitor to Initial D’s next heir, MF Ghost, of which a teaser has been released. Among the voice actors already announced by Sunrise, we find an exceptional cast that includes Junichi Suwabe and Hiroyuki Yoshino, among others.
