Hanyou no Yashahime unveils the designs of Sesshoumaru’s daughters

On the official site for the original anime Hanyou no yashahime (known in English as Yashahime: Princess Half Demon) the colorful designs by Towa Higurashi and Setsuna, Sesshoumaru's daughters, were revealed.

The series itself will premiere in Japan this fall. Inuyasha is a manga written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi that he published in the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan Between November 1996 and June 2008. The publisher has compiled the work in a total of 56 volumes. Contrary to Takahashi's comedies at the time, this manga had a much darker vibe and a serious plot based on the Sengoku period to favor the display of violent content without completely omitting the comedy.

Production team

  • Teruo Sato is responsible for directing the anime in the studios sunrise.
  • Katsuyuki Sumisawa is responsible for writing and monitoring the series scripts.
  • Rumiko Takahashi manages main character designs throughout Yoshihito Hishinuma (Yakitate !! Japan, Shinjuku private eyes) is responsible for adapting these designs to the animation.
  • Kaoru Wada (Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo) is responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.

Synopsis for Hanyou no Yashahime

The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha embark on an adventure that goes beyond time!

In feudal Japan, the half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated during a forest fire. In desperate search for her younger sister, Towa finds a mysterious tunnel that transports her to modern Japan, where she is found and taken care of by Kagome Higurashi's brother Sota and her family.

Ten years later, the tunnel between the two epochs is opened again, so that Towa can return to Setsuna, who has now become a youkai killer together with Kohaku. But the worst part is that Setsuna seems to have lost her memories and Towa no longer recognizes it.

Now, along with Moroha, Inuyasha's daughter, and Kagome, the three will travel between epochs in an adventure to regain a forgotten past.
