Hanma Baki: Son of the Ogre Synopsis
After 18 years of fighting and exceeding his natural limits, Baki Hanma is almost ready to face his father Yuujirou in one final battle. Baki publicly challenges his father to a rematch for the title “World’s Strongest” and starts to train. His targets are the few men who are said to have power comparable to Yuujirou, including the bounty hunter “Unchained” Biscuit Olivia and a resurrected prehistoric person named Pickle from the Mesozoic Era. The demonic Yuujirou oversees his son’s education with growing anticipation. The “ogre” sees baki as little more than delicious food that is marinated in order to devour it.
Yuujirou, however, lives alone on the mountain of strength. He longs for a fighter who stands up and turns out to be a worthy opponent who can challenge him. Although Yuujirou views his son as a bit pathetic, he can’t help but hope that his son will be the one to give him the thrill of an equal fight he has lived through for so long. When Baki tries to understand his father’s monstrous legacy, Yuujirou accepts his true feelings for his son. The two Hanmas are nearing their climax to decide who really is the “strongest in the world”.
