WIT Studio has again made its way into the hearts of fans thanks to the latest, incredible trailer of Great Pretender, its original anime coming up Netflix in 48 hours. The new PV shows a wonderful mix of action and comedy, accompanied by the homonymous song "The Great Pretender" by Freddie Mercury. The result is nothing short of brilliant.
Great Pretender will debut on June 2nd with the first five episodes on Netflix Japan, and should arrive, once concluded, also in western countries. The series will tell the adventures of Makoto Edamura, self-proclaimed Japan's biggest scammer. Together with his partner Kudo, the man will try to deceive a French tourist but, surprisingly, he will be deceived in turn and will end up being dragged into a whirlwind of increasingly absurd events.
Last year several fans criticized the animation studio after its representatives said they wanted to focus on Great Pretender, fearing a possible abandonment to the production of The Attack of the Giants 4. The new anime, however, seems to be able to bear the colossal weight of expectations , although to make a judgment we will have to wait for the broadcast of the twenty-third and last episode.
