On the official page for the anime adaptation of the video game franchise Fantasy sango (Huanxiang Sanguozhi or Gensou Sangokushi), titled as Gensou Sangokushi: Tengen Reishinki, two new promotional videos of the project have been released. The videos confirm that the premiere is scheduled for January 10, 2022 in Japan and show the opening and closing music themes, including:
- Machico leads the opening theme with the title “ENISHI“, while LACCO TOWER interprets the final theme with the title “Use“.
The platform Funimation will be responsible for the distribution of this animation project in the west. The first video game was released in 2003, and since the fifth iteration, the franchise has sold more than two million copies. The game combines the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi), one of the four great classical novels of China (together with Trip to the west, Dream of the Red Chamber Yes Water’s edge / Suikoden), with elements of supernatural fantasy.
