After several years of broadcast, Fruits Basket is back in 2019 with a brand new anime. Over the course of three seasons, we revisited the story of Natsuki Takaya and relived the lives of these characters. But this series has now also ended with the broadcast of the last episode.

Fruits Basket then welcomes the audience again, but next year, in addition to greetings from the staff, fans can look forward to the arrival of another project related to this work with a video.

The official website of the anime Fruits Basket, which emerged from the manga by Natsuki Takaya, has revealed in the past few hours that Fruits Basket: KyΠΎΜ„ko to Katsuya no Monogatari will debut on Japanese television in 2022 (The Story of Kyoko and Katsuya), an anime that focuses precisely on the parents of Tohru, Kyoko and Katsuya. The story of the two characters was not adjusted in the remake of Fruits Basket that aired in recent years and decided to dedicate a separate series to them instead. Release is scheduled for 2022, but the release month, format, or length of this series has not been determined. In addition, Fruits Basket receives a theatrical performance, always next year.

To commemorate the finale of the current animated series, the staff suggested a six minute video, which you can watch above, which collects some of the scenes from the Fruits Basket remake and also shares the messages signed by the staff and Mangaka Natsuki Takaya.
