A recent leak from a reliable source claimed that a third season of the manga’s anime adaptation was being written and illustrated Atsushi Ohkubo, Enen no Shouboutai (firepower), is in production. The leak didn’t reveal any production details or an estimated release date, and it’s worth noting that there was no official confirmation at the time of writing this article.
On the other hand, Ohkubo published the manga in the magazine Weekly ShΕnen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha between September 2015 and February 2022. The work inspired a studio-produced 24-episode anime adaptation David production, premiered in July 2019. A second season, also of 24 episodes, aired during the 2020 summer season, specifically starting July 3 in Japan. The platforms entertainment (now crispy roll) distributes the series in the west and produced a Spanish dub of both seasons.
Summary of Fire Force
Terror has paralyzed Tokyoites after a phenomenon known as “spontaneous combustion” began turning its residents into a type of fiery demons called Hellions. Despite this, some humans are able to handle flames and maintain their human form, granting them special abilities that divide them into first, second, and third generation pyrokinetics. In this chaos, our protagonist Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic, joins the Eighth Company of the Fire Force Special Unit as they seek to uncover the truth behind the human combustion phenomenon.
