Despite the events of Dragon Ball great Goku got to learn the Ultra Perfect Instinct and know how to control it, the difficulties for the protagonist and his iconic rival Vegeta are actually much greater. What is the current limit of our hero’s new forms?
Even with the introduction of the Ultra Ego for Vegeta, the inability of the two protagonists to face off against opponents such as e.g granola or gas despite the immeasurable power that comes from divine techniques. But why are Goku and the Saiyan Prince limited in their use of these techniques as things stand?
Goku, on the other hand, cannot fully master thisultra instinct since he is unaware of his Saiyan nature since he lost his memories as a child and has become a de facto terrestrial behavior. But on the other hand Vegeta cannot dominate the Hakai the polar opposite of the protagonist due to the contamination of his nature with the earth element. In fact, both are working on themselves to find their own identities: Goku must reconcile his beliefs with his true nature, while Vegeta, on the other hand, should build a new ego capable of using his essence altered by the experience on Earth to respect.
The first of the two seems close to overcoming this obstacle. The memory of his family through Bardak’s scooter in the last chapter actually seems to be the key for Son to push his limits and reach them next level of Ultra Instinct.
