The wait for Dragon Ball Super 2 is being extended, or at least it suggests that Return of the anime series to Japanwhere Fuji TV broadcasts season one reruns. With a movie already announced between 2021 and 2022, a return of the TV series doesn’t appear to be part of Shueisha and Toei Animation’s recent plans.
Let’s go alright The Dragon Ball Super anime series ended in March 2018 with episode 131 and No further details have been released since then. In 2019, Shueisha was expecting a new movie to arrive, and apparently this could see the light before season two, which is currently stalling due to a possible lack of customization material. In fact, the manga tells the second saga after completing the Tournament of Power, and there will be little news about the animated rendering before the end of the narrative arc in question.
in addition, Dragon Ball Super has just returned to Fuji TV in Japanand currently only the first five episodes have aired. Reruns will air weekly and end in August 2023. However, if Digimon Adventure ends earlier, Dragon Ball Super could also occupy the second time slot and end in the second half of 2022. Fuji will not broadcast the second season with reruns for the time being, and noting that new information about the film should arrive during the next Jump Festa, The most likely hypothesis is that the anime series will return in late 2022 or early 2023, immediately after the start of the feature film and the completion of the reruns.
Of course, it’s mostly speculation, but the timing seems plausible and the lack of information from Toei and Shueisha can only point to a release that is still a long way off. The good news is that the studio seems to be particularly interested in repsas the episodes broadcast on Fuji TV are the ones that are in the Blu-ray version, with improved animations and various fixes.
