Inspired by the angel Whis, during the fight with Jiren Goku, managed to unlock a still original form of Ultra Instinct. Then, over the course of subsequent Dragon Ball Super sagas, the Saiyan developed his Ultra Instinct, mastering it in his own unique way. However, we have yet to admire the final form of this Goku transformation.
In the last Q&A published by Toyotaro for Weekly Dragon Ball News, the author of Dragon Ball Super, has answered several questions about Goku’s Ultra Instinct. Throughout the current manga series saga, Kakarot has used the form learned from Whis, but mostly without the desired effects. Only at Vegeta’s suggestion did Goku stop, the silver-haired version for Adapt the Ultra Instinct back to its Saiyan origins. In doing so, however, he lost the calm typical of Ultra Instinct by pausing to follow the path marked by Whis.
Toyotaro made that clear Goku has not yet mastered Ultra Instinct, at least not in the way Whis had explained to him. While the Angel uses Ultra Instinct unconsciously, even while asleep and without transformation, Kakarot is not yet able to replicate his master. The mangaka’s wish is to see Goku approaching this level. Therefore, if not in this saga, Super Goku will evolve in the next story arc of Dragon Ball Ultra Instinct, showing us the final form of this amazing transformation.
Toyotaro on the latest Q&A:
“Whis remains in Ultra Instinct without transformations, and I want Goku to reach that level whether he stays awake or asleep.”
End of Z Uub always looks more monstrous with such revelations as they come about, dammit… pic.twitter.com/qrVtY37HKX
