We know very few Saiyans due to Freeza’s destruction of the planet Vegeta prior to the beginning of the Dragon Ball story. Few of these breed survived, like the protagonists of Dragon Ball Super Goku and Vegeta. However, the current saga has led us to explore its past a little better.
The attack on the planet Cereal, carried out by Bardock and the Saiyajins under the orders of Freezer, introduced us to some other monkey figures. In Chapter 77 of Dragon Ball Super, we also checked out some of the characters we know: One of them is Raditz, first son of Bardock and Gine. the second could be nappa.
The Saiyan who accompanied Vegeta to Earth in Dragon Ball Z has barely been mentioned since his death. In a cartoon drawn by Toyotaro for the new chapter a Saiyan appears who looks a lot like Nappa, with a hint of a mustache similar to hers and a bit of black hair. His name isn’t revealed, but his physiognomy and facial expression suggest Nappa’s first appearance in Dragon Ball Super.
We also see Raditz playing with two children in the Saiyan village. One of these has the same hair from the back of the nappa that can be seen in the same chapter, suggesting that Raditz played with Nappa’s children. Considering the flashback has ended and there is little else to reveal about the past of the planet Cereal, there will be no confirmation of the presence of Nappa in the manga unless Toyotaro and Toriyama intervene in person to clarify the mystery to ventilate.
Meanwhile, the Granolah saga could soon come to an end, bringing this glimpse into the Saiyan past.
