An almost mythological illustration was picked up among the youth of the early 2000s. Goku had crossed the limit of Super Saiyan 4 and reached the fifth level, a legendary shape with "divine" tones. Years later, these teenagers realized that Super Saiyan 5 was actually a transformation of non-canon work Dragon Ball AF.

For those unfamiliar with it, Dragon Ball AF is interesting fanmade sequel That is positioned years after the end of Dragon Ball GT. When the image of the Super Saiyan 5 spread in 1999 on a still impractical Internet used by a select few, all the boys of the time were convinced that this illustration had been made by Toyotaro. In fact, the artwork was made so likely that it was legitimate to confuse it with an original.

The Super Saiyan 5 takes the form of the Super Saiyan 4 from Dragon Ball GT and takes it to a new, almost "divine" level. Goku's fur, tail and hair will be Silver colorand gives the protagonist an aura of immense power.

This transformation was reinterpreted in a modern way by Twitter artist Kackie. Seeing Super Saiyan 5 in Dragon Ball Super is something unattainable, but who knows that one day he may not appear in Super Anime Ball Super Heroes.
