Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s demon slayers are plentiful, and we met some low-level guys in the anime’s first season. But at the top of the pyramid are a few warriors who are known for their extraordinary skills: Hashiras. Among them there are Kyojuro Rengoku, an extravagant boy.

Who is really Kyojuro Rengoku, the flame hashira of the demon slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba? Let’s find out its story between the Demon Slayer movie: Infinity Train and the special spin-off chapters that were set before the story began.

Kyojuro is a member of the Rengoku family who have been associated with demon hunters for generations. Each family ancestor has become a Hashira of the Flame and the Haori are also passed on from father to son. Kyojuro is therefore again the son of the flame hashira Shinjuro, who, however, lost the will to fight after the death of his wife. Instead, the role remains practically vacant while Kyojuro begins to fight demons after demons get stronger and stronger. There are several important battles in the life of the blonde and red-haired young man, the first of which is against a demon who can manipulate the hearing and who caused significant damage to the boy’s ears. From here Rengoku began to speak louder than before.

After a while, Rengoku gets stronger and stronger and also becomes Mitsuri Kanroji’s master, but he is not yet a Hashira. As his father becomes increasingly depressed, he accidentally appears as a delegate at a Hashiras meeting. Here he is given the task of killing a demon that now belongs to the moons of Muzan and is therefore extremely strong. After a grueling fight, during which it was found that the demon had crossed blades with Kyojuro’s father a few years earlier, the Boy will win and is officially called Hashira the Flame instead of the father.

Firmly in the role he will accompany the young Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke on his journey on the train Last Battle of the Demonslayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. In the film we see him fighting to defend the civilians on the train and then fighting Akaza, the third crescent. The A collision with the powerful demon will unfortunately lead to his deathand thus closed his story.

As the name indicates, Rengoku Kyojuro uses fire and flame based techniques. His style has at least nine positions, but few have been revealed in the demon slayer manga and anime, the most powerful of which is the ninth “purgatory”. Its breath is dead, but its flames live on for generations to come.
