In the narrative sheet of the Mugen train, broadcast in the first part of Demon slayer 2, the pillar that Tanjiro and his companions have joined in the fight against the demons, is Kyojuro Rengoku, a kind and very respectful guy. Tanjiro and his friends managed to build a wonderful bond with him in a short time.
At the first meeting between Tanjiro and Kyojuro Rengoku, we find that the latter are intent on devouring food in a cabin on the Mugen train, and we shout “good!” with every bite swallowed. Tanjiro knows the Pillar of Flame better and then will discover a really pure person incapable of hating people, and who does it? I respect his greatest virtue.
It goes without saying that his death is one of the most dramatic moments in Demon Slayer to date. It will bring Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu to the Rengoku family to give them thelast message from the young man. In their home, the three protagonists also find references to the definitive breathing style of the Demon Slayer, who helps them in the fight against the demons of the narrative arc of the red light district.
In this new arch is introduced Tengen Uzui, Pillar of Sound, a figure on the antipodes of Rengoku. His first appearance in the anime is certainly not the best: Tanjiro and his companions discover that he wants to kidnap the residents of the butterfly villa to help him with his mission. The first reviews of Demon Slayer 2 from the public were postponed, with precisely because of this event Tengen charged with harassment.
In general, Tengen Uzui looks like a character self-centered, conspicuous and totally out of the box. Compared to the kind Kyojuro Rengoku, a personality like that of the Pillar of Sound could mean that the Red Light District’s narrative arc can be completely different from anything we’ve seen in Demon Slayer so far. We just have to wait for the next adventure from Tanjiro Kamadothat look very electrifying.
