As a tribute to Tsukasa Hojo’s 40-year career, Coamix has launched two limited edition whiskeys themed City Hunter and Cat’s Eyes, the two most famous works in the mangaka. Let’s find out the details of these two celebration spirits!
As suggested by Twitter @ShonenSaito, 40th anniversary from Tsukasa Hojo as Mangaka, the illustrious Japanese label Coamix is celebrating with the launch of two themed whiskeys. Both spirits are manufactured by Glenfarklas Distillery, a Scottish distillery specializing in the aging of wooden barrels in particular.
The whiskey dedicated to Cat’s Eyes, which will turn forty in 2021 after its first release on Shonen Jump, is a 2010 Glenfer vintage matured in sherry barrels. Sweet and fruity, it is described by the critic Hideo Yamaoka as a balanced alcohol that does not tire the palate. City Hunter’s whiskey is not a newer vintage. The Glenfer Class 2011 also matures in first fill sherry casks and has one dark color and a strong taste.
Therefore, to celebrate Tsukasa Hojo’s career, fans need to read his works while they sip a sip of a Glass of good whiskey Topic. As for you, would you be ready to buy these City Hunter and Cat’s Eye branded spirits? We’re leaving City Hunter’s new Planet Manga edition, reminding you that Cat’s Eyes is available on Prime Video.
