Aniplex recently announced the arrival of its first trading card game called Build Divide and manufactured by the Japanese company Yuhodo. A Original anime is out in October 2021, conceived by Homura Kawamoto, author of Kakegurui, and animated by the guys from LIDEN FILMS.

Build Dive – # 00000 (Code Black) –, which is the full title of the animated series, will have a first season of 24 episodes, with the first 12 airing from October to December and the second from April 2022. Aniplex hopes that the series will convince more people to give them a chance at the card game, which should also land on smartphones in the course of 2022.

Yuki Komada (Killing Bites, Blade of the Immortal) directs the anime at LIDEN FILMS while Yoriko Tomita (Osamake: Romcom Where Childhood Friend Won’t Lose) writes the script based on the original story of Homura Kawamoto and his younger brother, Hikaru Muno. Shinpei Tomooka (Inukami !, Sekirei, Trinity Seven) takes care of the character design.

At the top of the article you can watch the first trailer in which the protagonist is shown with his invocation. The story follows the deeds of a boy determined to travel to New Kyoto, a variant of the Japanese city where the social status of residents is determined based on their skills in the Build Divide card game.
