With the climax of the story, the anime of Boruto: Naruto the next generations Definitely greets Ukyo Kodachi. As several fans have noticed, the author’s name is missing from the credits of episode 217. To find out why, we have to go back about a year.
Boruto’s anime adaptation has reached perhaps the highest point the work has ever touched, but there is one particular problem that moves fandom. Just as Naruto unleashed the majestic baryon mode to settle the final settlement with Isshiki Otsutsuki, the name of the story supervisor Ukyo Kodachi has disappeared from the credits.
This story actually dates back to November 2020 when Kodachi suddenly left the manga directors to make way for his Sensei Masashi Kishimoto. Now that the anime has adapted the events of Chapter 52, the first one directed by Kishimoto, the Kodachi name has rightly disappeared from the credits.
But why did Kodachi give up the manga? According to “official” information, it was clear from the start that he should take care of the work only up to volume 13, and then leave his legacy to Kishimoto. However, according to the theories of fandom, Kodachi intended to reserve a dark fate for the Leaf Village, and Kishimoto intervened to save his beloved protagonists.
We leave you Ukyo Kodachi’s greeting to the Boruto manga and the final card of the Seventh Hokage in Boruto 217.
