The anime of Boruto: Naruto the next generations he is about to dive into a new narrative arc, a saga whose title promises a catastrophic event, the awakening of the Otsutsuki. The next tragic events are anticipated by the new opening and ending that accompanied episode 206 of the anime.

Instead of the usual “Baku” played by Ikimono Gatari, the weekly episode of Boruto performed the new opening theme, “Gamushara” from CHiCO HoneyWorks. Big protagonists of the anime’s ninth opening are Boruto and Kawaki, who dominate the scene for most of the clip.

The last section of the video leads the two into the fight against Jigen, the nefarious leader of the Kara organization. However, Boruto and Kawaki suddenly leave room for a mysterious being, one Figure similar to the seventh Hokage that manga readers know well. Another detail that appears in a still image of the opening is Sasuke, or rather his shadow, with a blood-streaked eye.

The final theme “Who Are You” by Pelican Fan Club instead focuses on instead Stone faces of the Hokage, about Naruto and the Leaf Village without thinking about upcoming events.
