Since writing the series of Boruto Returned to the hands of the master and creator of the Naruto universe, Masashi Kishimoto, many new features and revelations have been introduced. However, none have achieved the centrality and relevance of what is narrated in recent chapters, at least up to the unexpected development described in Chapter 79.
As had already emerged from various spoilers that had appeared on the net, the chapter in question was entitled “omnipotence‘ and presented with a sumptuous color table dedicated to Boruto, it proved as fundamental as it was unexpected. The protagonist, injured in his left eye, prepares for the ending predicted by Momoshiki, while Konoha’s best shinobi try to track down Kawaki.
Thanks to Powers of the Senringan, Eida manages to locate the boy and immediately makes his way to his location. After a brief discussion with Kawaki, Eida understands his torment associated with wanting to protect the Seventh Hokage at all costs and that to do so he must kill Boruto as he poses an uncontrollable threat under the seemingly growing influence of Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
Bringing his hands to Kawaki’s face Eida creates a huge explosion, which lasts only a few seconds but has devastating consequences. Now Kawaki is called “Son of the Hokage” by the Konoha ninja, and Mitsuki, initially angry at the boy, goes where Boruto is supposed to attack him instead. Only the protagonist and Sarada seem to notice something wrong in the development of the situation.
Momoshiki doesn’t hesitate to explain everything: Eida has unleashed a divine power, omnipotence that only a conscious divinity can harness to create worlds of one’s choosing. In reality, through their contact, Kawaki invoked omnipotenceswapping his role with that of Boruto.
Including the situation, Kawaki asks Eida to tell the others that the Seventh Hokage died at the hands of Boruto. What do you think of this extraordinary twist? Tell us in the comments. Finally we leave you with the comparison between the fandoms of Boruto and ONE PIECE.
