Killed by Kawaki, Boruto escaped death only thanks to the intervention of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who sacrificed part of the karma in order not to lose his vessel. For the protagonist, this means the green light to unleash the full power of the sigil that has been branded to them.

Boruto is already returning to the Leaf Village, where we witness Boruto 68’s fake truce, and finds himself in the middle of one Debriefing accompanied by Amado, Katasuke and Sai. The Hokage’s son explains to them in disbelief that Momoshiki sacrificed the last 18% of his download to heal the mortal wounds received from Kawaki’s attack. The end result is this Boruto could be brought back to lifeand that Momoshiki will not be able to possess her body from now on.

But why did Otsutsuki act like this? If Boruto had died, so would Momoshiki. To the keep his spirit alivehas given up the possibility of reincarnation.

Boruto can now harness the powers of Karma without fear of possible consequences. According to his own statements, he can now do the same better channel his power. However, Momoshiki, still present in the boy’s mind, was able to exploit a dark passage for his interests. In Boruto 68 it’s already time for a new fight, in which maybe we could see the protagonist’s new powers.
