The first episode of the year of the anime series Boruto: Naruto the next generations moves away from the usual protagonists and focuses on a new character who captured the public during the final exam of the Chunin selection. It’s Samurai Showdown in Episode 231!
Boruto’s first appointment of 2022 not only introduces the new acronyms but further distances himself from the manga with new unpublished stories. The protagonists of the episode are the Kunoichi from Team 15who are asked to monitor a strange incident that took place outside the walls of Konoha.
Wasabi, Namida and Tsubaki You must investigate a mysterious gang of criminals who continue to make victims and robberies. However, when the young samurai from the Land of Iron arrives at the scene of the crime, she immediately realizes that something is wrong. Committing the crime is his ex senpai.
Flashing back from the past, we discover that Tsubaki trained dailyswordsmanship, taking an example from the legendary Mifune, the samurai who led Iron in the Fourth Ninja War. To obtain his sword, the Kurosawa, a tournament was held, the finalists of which were Tsubaki and Sazanka. Although this was credited most for the win, in the end it was sheer quirk of fate that Tsubaki won.
Since that day, Sazanka he completely lost his mind, killing all his comrades and becoming a wandering samurai on the scales of commonplace criminals. Face to face with Tsubaki again, this time it’s decided kill them and get revenge for the defeat suffered. Inspired by her friends at the Leaf, however, she triumphs again thanks to her fatal blow.
We leave you to the preview of Episode 232 of Boruto, where we’ll see Team 5 in action, and the fandom’s tribute to the reopening of Boruto.
