This Monday, the platform Netflix announced the production of a new project focused on the manga-inspired franchise Kohei Horikoshi, Boku no Hero Academia (My hero academy). The project in question is itself a live-action film directed by the American company Legendary entertainment.

Shinsuke Satowho already have projects like e.g Alice in the Borderland, Bleach (Live Action), Death Note Light Up the NEW World (Live Action), directs the tape. On the other hand, Joby Harold (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), handles the scripts.

alex garcia Y Jay Ashenfelter will oversee the project from Legendary Entertainment while Ryousuke Yoritomithe manga’s editor, will oversee the project on behalf of shueisha. TOHO will distribute the film in Japan.

Horikoshi began publishing the manga. Boku no Hero Academia in the magazine Weekly shōnen jump from the publisher shueisha in July 2014 and entered its final story arc in March 2021. The publisher released the thirty-sixth compiled volume last October.

Summary of Boku no Hero Academia

The emergence of “quirks,” newly discovered superpowers, has steadily increased over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from element manipulation to shapeshifting. This leaves the rest of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual. Since childhood, the ambitious high school student has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku’s unfair fate makes him admire the heroes and take notes about them whenever he can. But it seems his perseverance has paid off: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might’s Quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor!

After many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls at UA Academy, a prestigious high school known for its excellent hero training program, and this year’s freshmen are looking particularly promising. With his strange but talented classmates and the looming threat of an evil organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero.
