Several backstories unraveled over time Black clover, it has been clarified that Captain Yami Sukehiro is not from Clover, nor from any of the other countries that make up the magical kingdom. He comes from a strange land called the Land of the Sun, a place hitherto shrouded in mystery.
The son of a fisherman couple from the land of the sun, Yami Sukehiro was adrift in the sea at the age of 13 was shipwrecked on the beaches of the Kingdom of Clover. Alone in a foreign land whose language he didn’t even know, he was marginalized from society except for one person, the magical emperor Julius Novachrono. In Black Clover 313 we see part of Yami’s story.
Yami never returned to the land of Hino, nor has he ever made a sign that he wishes to return. The glorious captain of the Black Bull’s magical company and Julius’ trusted sidekick, he has now found his place in Clover. However, there is a chance that Yami will return to visit the Land of the Sun.
In Black Clover chapter 337 we see after the defeat Lucius Zogratis suffered Asta wakes up in an unknown place. The boy who, like Yami, was shipwrecked years before, was rescued and cared for by a mysterious man who introduces himself and turns out to be the Shogun of the Land of the Sun.
The Land of the Sun is inspired by traditional Japan and like the same states Shogun Ryuya Ryudo it is very far from clover kingdom. Although Asta wants to go home immediately, there is currently no known way back. In fact, there seems to be no bridge connecting the magical kingdom and the land of the sun: how will Asta and Yami return to their respective homes?
