The loss of an artist like Kentaro Miura left a profound mark on the Japanese comic industry. The creator of Berserk, a violent, intricate, complex and artistically excellent work, has left us an extremely important chapter, on which his dear friend George Morikawa wanted to comment.

Although their works are different in every way, on the one hand we actually have a dark fantasy story with demons, magic and sword fighting, and on the other hand a captivating Spokon who follows the path of the boxer Ippo Makunouchi. After Miura’s death, Morikawa did not hesitate to express his emotions and remember the importance of such a mangaka in the broad panorama of today’s productions. The most recent tribute was to Berserk’s chapter 364, the last to be signed by Miura, which Morikawa recalled with fondness, who wrote in the following post: “only a strong feeling of loneliness remains …“.
