B: The initial summary
A vigilante group is going insane on the islands of Cremona. Celebrated by some and hunted by others, the famous "Killer B" takes justice into his own hands, armed with a sharp blade and superhuman abilities. Unable to stop this renegade, the Royal Investigative Service (RIS) relies on the expertise of Keith Flick, a skilled but eccentric detective who was relegated to the archives department after a personal loss. As crimes escalate in Cremona, from clandestine executions of criminals to sophisticated attacks on public figures, it quickly becomes clear that more than one person is responsible.
With the help of his impulsive partner Lily Hoshina and the unexpected help of the elusive killer B himself, Keith begins uncovering conspiracies involving secret organizations, domestic terrorism, and human experimentation. When RIS involvement is beyond the reach of the judiciary, the level of corruption in the government and the trustworthiness of close allies are called into question.
