‘The Party Game’ en Attack on Titan 4 seems to have caused some confusion given last season’s subtitle indulgence. In any case, Studio MAPPA wasted no time in clarifying the situation and explaining what happened to fans waiting for the release of the new episodes.
The first cour of Part 3 of Attack on Titan 4 will be released on March 3rd, a message accompanied by a promotional trailer and preceded by the producer’s statements before New Year’s Eve. However, the division of what should have become the final installment of episodes into two more parts has caused some confusion online MAP wanted to clarify through an official press release:
“To all who have been waiting for this. The release date for Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 has been announced. However, we would like to warn you that our company initially planned to continue production with the aim of broadcasting the entire Part 3 from March 3rd. However, during the continuation of the production work, the amount of work has increased significantly compared to what was envisaged, and after consultation with the committee, it was decided to split it into two parts: Part 1 and Part 2. Attack on Titan it will therefore be published in the Connection to part 2 completed.
We would like to express all our gratitude to all of you who are waiting for this event. We promise that all of our staff and employees will focus on the production of Attack on Titan until the end. We hope you can give us some more time. Thanks for the support.“
