Eren and Reiner were the key components of the series since the latter turned out to be indeed the traitor of an entirely different country, and the first half of season four showed his life beyond the walls, setting the stage for the final confrontation between him and Eren, which occurred at the end of the first part of the season in Marley.
In fact, that rematch was the biggest cliffhanger the mid-season finale left us with, and fans looked forward to continuing this big showdown in the anime. The final moments of the first half of the fourth and final season remained with the announcement that Eren and Reiner would soon have their great vengeance. After the first episode of Attack of the Giants 4 landed on Crunchyroll with many problems, the series officially launched the bitter rematch between Eren and Reiner that fans have been waiting for a year.

Episode 76 of the series picks up right where the midseason finale left off, as Eren prepares his new faction to face not only Eldia but Marley’s invading forces as well. The episode reveals Marley’s grand scheme for the attack as they begin to wipe out all of Eren’s forces. At the top are Reiner’s Armored Giant and Hog’s Jaw Giant.
The two begin their bloody offensive against Eren. Despite their best efforts, they are still unable to really break through the giant von Eren’s skin. Both Reiner and Eren take a lot of damage during the fight, and even if the episode ends in Eren, who seems cornered, is very clear that this fight between the two is far from over.
They have a big unfinished business for each other all the violent acts that both committed against each other, but there is much more to their rematch than is initially suggested.
