Ash Ketchum, western alias of Satoshi, is one of the most established and famous protagonists in the world of anime. His adventure in Pokémon lasted 25 years, always leaving a 10-year-old boy behind. Starting from Biancavilla in the Kanto region, he then explored many different corners of the world and came into contact with other creatures.
He kept catching new Pokémon and presenting himself to the different leagues to try to achieve the title of champion. He never succeeded, except in Galar: during the final challenge against Dandel, he won. This is how Ash eventually became a Pokémon League champion. And now? Well, it was surprisingly announced that the protagonist will change. After 25 years, it's time to say goodbye to Ash and his Pikachu, who of course will continue to train and travel to discover new things, but will no longer be the protagonists of the next series.
But the adventure doesn't end there, because the debut of the new protagonists will not take place until April. Meanwhile, Ash continues on his journey and surprisingly comes into contact with one of his very first Pokémon. After Pikachu, Ash caught a caterpillar. That caterpillar from the Kanto yes evolved first into a Metapod and then into a Butterfree, which didn't last long on Ash's team. The purple butterfly actually joined a group of its own kind early in the anime, leaving the protagonist behind.
Surprisingly, Pokémon Explorations has decided to devote itself to one Episode of Ash and his Butterfree who met again after many years. At sunset, when the sun is getting lower on the horizon, there is this meeting that you can see in the video below. Will there be more such scenes in future episodes?
I never thought we'd see the day, but Ash finally reunited with his Butterfree and it was just so precious! 🤧#anipoke pic.twitter.com/p0Rt6nOxGh
