It was last April 7 when Japan officially entered a state of emergency. At first, the situation only affected Tokyo and 6 adjacent prefectures, and then spread across the nation causing a series of inconveniences in all sectors. The animation market was also hit hard, with several series being discontinued.

After over a month, the Premier Shinzo Abe, after opening the overwhelming prefectures in early May, has officially lifted the state of emergency in the Japanese capital. The question now arises: when will they resume the anime of ONE PIECE and all the other series stopped because of Covid-19?

As early as the first week of the month, with the reopening of different areas of the country, some voice actors and animation studios had slowly started working again, consequently restarting the industrial machinery. Despite the revocation of the emergency state also for Tokyo, the driving force of the anime sector, the recovery will be gradual, but we can expect news during the month of June regarding the first shots of some of the abruptly interrupted souls, such as Digimon, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is Black Clover.

In any case, the gears of the industry have started to rotate again, so we suggest you continue to follow us in order not to miss the new updates on the first returns of the TV series. And you, however, when do you think the new episodes will return? Tell us your opinion about it, as usual, with a comment below.
