The anime is often set in real locations, especially in very famous areas of the Japanese archipelago. Inevitably, many products play in Tokyo, where most of the animation and manga studios are located, so they can refer to references on site. Jujutsu Kaisen is no exception.

Last year's implementation of Studio MAPPA caused a sensation, juggled the panorama of the products of the autumn and winter seasons and captured many fans. The animations, the characters, the songs: everything was spot on from the studio, which made Jujutsu Kaisen's anime at an excellent level. In order to recreate some locations, the MAPPA animators decided to refer to different areas of Tokyo, but which ones? The Instagram page Eiga x Tabi has the Photos of the locations of Jujutsu Kaisen in Tokyo which he found and also made a comparison with the picture from the anime.

With the following posts we start from the Shinjuku eye, which was used as the basis for a scene with Todo, to a scene with the Tokyo Tower in the distance presents Nobara Kugisaki. There are also scenes from the episodes that track the places that Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori, and Nanami have visited. If you're a fan of jujutsu kaisen, this might be another one Reasons to visit TokyoTouching with hand all these places that are inserted into the world of the curses of Gege Akutami.

Makoto Shinkai is another director who makes use of real-world references, as shown in Weathering With You and beyond.
