On the user’s Twitter account spankuknown for reliable leaks, it was revealed that the anime adaptation of the manga was written and illustrated Sousuke Toka, Ousama Ranking (Ranking of Kings), will have a new animated project. Among the leaked details, it is mentioned that this new adaptation would be produced again by the studios. Wit Studio however, the series format ensures that it is not a second season.
Among fan theories, it says that it could be an original story or a spin-off since the anime season 1 adapted 12 of the 13 volumes of the original manga so just the last volume to one would be quite a stretch brought to adjust series format.
On the other hand, Touka serialized the manga on the independent site manga hack and elsewhere since May 2017, while Kadokawa published the twelfth anthology on December 10th.
