On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi, Mix: Meisei storythe production of a second season was announced. This second season takes place after the summer of freshman year of high school, during TV will re-air the first season in Japan starting this month to celebrate.

Mitsuru Adachi The publication of the manga began in the magazine Monthly Shōnen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan in May 2012, where it is still in publication. On the other hand, the first season of the anime adaptation premiered during the Spring 2019 season (April to June) and had twenty-four episodes.

Summary for Mix: Meisei Story

Due to the legend left behind by Tatsuya Uesugi, Meisei Academy High School was known for its strong baseball team. But 26 years after its fame, the team failed to match its record and lost its fame. Two stepbrothers, Souichirou and Touma Tachibana, set out to revive the once-powerful Meisei Academy baseball team and compete in the National High School Baseball Championship. Souichirou and Touma are second-year students at Meisei Academy. They are both extremely talented baseball players. Souichirou has shown excellent skills as a catcher and batter. Despite possessing exceptional skill as a thrower, Touma no longer throws for a reason. As soon as the two enter high school, they team up like a drummer and aim to compete in the National High School Baseball Championship!
