On the official page for the anime adaptation of the light novels by Asato Asato, 86: Eighty-six, It has been reported that the nineteenth episode, scheduled for November 27th in Japan, has been postponed to December 4th due to production issues. The production team apologized to the fans and noted that a special titled “86: Eighty-Six – Special Edition: Shi Shite Kai Aru Mono NarebaโAnd reminded that the series will be suspended due to a special for December 11th. So the schedule looks like this:
- 20th November: Eighteenth episode aired.
- November 27th: Suspension of shipment due to production problems.
- December 4th: The nineteenth episode aired.
- 11th December: Suspension due to planned special.
- Dec 18: Broadcast of the twentieth episode.
The first part aired during the spring 2021 season (April-June) and consisted of eleven episodes. A second part is currently on air and has been confirmed with a total of twelve episodes. For his part, Asato Asato began in April 2017 with the publication of the light novels on the publisher’s label Dengeki Bunko from Kadokawa. Shirabi (Musaigen is not a phantom world) and the artist I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero, Re: Creators) were responsible for the illustrations.

Synopsis to 86: Eighty-six
The Republic of the Holy Magnolia. This country has long been besieged by its neighbor, the Giadic Empire, which created a series of unmanned drones called the Legion. After years of meticulous research, the republic has finally developed its own autonomous drones that turn the one-sided fight into a lossless war – at least that is what the government claims.
In truth there is no such thing as a bloodless war. Beyond the walls that protect the republic’s 85 territories is the “nonexistent” “eighty-six sector”. The young men and women of this deserted country are branded “eighty-six” and, robbed of their humanity, lead the “unmanned” weapons into battle … battlefield. Lena is a “manipulator” who, with the help of a special communication, commands the detachment from the far back. The farewell story to the difficult and sad struggle between the two begins!
