The main title of Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man prepares to reach the 900 number milestone. For the occasion, Marvel will create a celebratory number that, despite the release scheduled for June, can already be seen through a teaser image on the House of Ideas social pages.

Two names appear in the picture: Zeb Wells, screenwriter who, along with John Romita Jr., will oversee the relaunch of Amazing Spider-Man, rebooting from number 1 in April; and Ed McGuinness, an artist known for his work on Superman, Avengers, and the Hulk.

The number 900 will arrive a few months after restarting the numbering of the newspaper, which, Due to the occasion, the so-called “legacy numbering” will be used againwhich considers all volumes of the main Spider-Man series published over the years, starting with the legendary Amazing Spider-Man #1 from 1963.

It is also interesting to note that the promotional image appears to present a new enemy whose features resemble a cross between a vulture and a scorpionwhose tail tip resembles one of Doctor Octopus’ appendages and which, like Electro, can shoot lightning from its hands: is it a Sinister Six fusion?

Amazing Spider-Man #900 will be released in the United States next June, and arrives in the year of the character’s sixtieth anniversary. For the occasion, the House of Ideas will release numerous variant covers that will see the Marvel heroes in a spider-like version.
