The Clashes in Onigashima they take shape. Kaido has found his opponents, as have the three disasters. Of course we will surely see some reversals in the face and changes in the middle of the game, but ONE PIECE definitely seems to have entered the phase of intense battles. However, we have to wait a long time before we understand what is going to happen.

ONE PIECE 989 will arrive in two weeks. Unfortunately, Eiichiro Oda took a hiatus for the usual personal reasons and so the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump will not have a chapter on the pirate crew. Because of this, the date is moved to Monday, September 7th, or for the Japanese Sunday 6 for those who use MangaPlus.

We saw the fight between Sanji and King in the previous chapter for this one It is reasonable to expect a sequel in ONE PIECE 989. Many would have loved to see King take on Zoro, since even the strongest member of Kaido’s crew is a swordsman. However, there was only Zoro in the area where Sanji was thrown, so the two were able to give life to an unprecedented clash of couples.

The Minks will have to grapple with Jack instead, but Oda is unlikely to show us much of this other fight right away, while it will be interesting to see the sulong forms of Nekomamushi and Inuarashi. Finally, ONE PIECE 989 necessarily has to dedicate a part to Big Mom as well. The Empress tried to face Luffy, but Franky’s intervention cut the flow of the battle. After being hit in the face rather than the head, Linlin is hard to lose her memory again, which would have done away with one of the saga’s strongest enemies in an anti-climatic way.
