Chapter 1044 of ONE PIECE revealed some big secrets in just a handful of pages. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also given Luffy a huge power-up, as you might have guessed from the previous chapter, and fans are already doing their best to analyze his fun new form.
For those who follow the adventures of Luffy and company, you will know that the captain has now become very powerful and has earned the name of the 5th Emperor of ONE PIECE. The young pirate trained hard after being blessed with a devil fruit, thanks to which he managed to unlock the famous equipment. Until recently, the hero had four of these forms, but now the Gear Five is making its grand debut.
This week has come the moment anticipated in the previous chapter that heralded the arrival of the definitive power-up for Luffy in ONE PIECE. Chapter 1044 later confirmed the debut of the gear five once Luffy’s power has shown its true form. Readers have been informed that as a child, the Captain ate Hito Hito no Mi instead of Gomu Gomu, and that the fruit awakened after Luffy was defeated by Kaido. The new form shows Luffy in his usual body, but his hair almost looks like fire as steam spirals surround him.
As for this form, the World Government has made it clear that theHito Hito no Mi has unlimited power. The Gear Five uses Luffy’s normal body as a base, but can swell up as in the Gear Four’s form. This new form of ONE PIECE also gives Luffy greater range as he can give things around him rubbery properties, and Kaido discovered it in the most painful way possible when Luffy crashed a Bolo Breath into him. And as he continues to explore the Gear Five, we’re sure he will Luffy will add even more techniques to this smiling form.
