That from Naruto is a timeless success, a franchise that will be talked about for decades to come. As work continues on the sequel, Boruto, the original anime series will soon turn twenty years old, a milestone celebrated even by acclaimed toy company Playmobil.
In the’October 2002, the Naruto anime series was born by Japanese broadcasters. Twenty years after this event, Masashi Kishimoto’s story is still one of the most loved by the community, who will now have the opportunity to “play” with their favorite ninjas.
To mark the twentieth anniversary of the anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot, which is also responsible for the sequel, Playmobil has signed an official collaboration with Naruto for a series of thematic figures. This isn’t the only merch on the way, here’s a cute and cuddly Naruto Shippuden collection.
Divided into two rounds, it contains 21 exciting statuettes Recreate as many Shinobi in perfect Playmobil style of the leaf village as well as several antagonists. The first wave, arriving in September 2022, includes the most well-known characters such as Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi, but also several nemesis such as Obito, Kisame or Kakuzu from the Alba organization. The second, due for release in November 2022, will include Gaara del Deserto, Itachi Uchiha, Pain, Minato and Killer Bee, among others.
At the moment they are not there official images of these pieces of merch, but to get an idea, we refer to the Takara Tomy set from Demon Slayer: Infinity Train, whose figures are designed in a Playmobil style.
