For the 20th anniversary of the original manga series by Tite Kubo, it was announced that Bleach would be returning for a new anime to finally adapt the manga’s final story arc, which never got its full recognition.

It’s been a tough wait for the fans, but even more difficult for the series creator Tite Kubo. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War debuted the first full trailer for its big comeback with the anime during Jump Festa 2022, and Kubo shared a special message during the event that showed that he, too, is excited about the anime’s return:
“I’m glad it’s animated! And the official teaser, beautiful drawings and remixes of the songs! The editing is fantastic! I was involved as a writer on the anime from the start, worked on all sorts of topics, but as a viewer, I hope for something good. Please look forward to the show! “
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is currently scheduled for next October as part of the Anime fall season 2022, and Viz Media has licensed the series for international release outside of Japan when the new episodes debut
