The new original anime story arc from Boruto: Naruto the next generations promises sparks, sparks that ignite in episode 223, where the final exam of the second Chunin exam finally begins. First on the battlefield, Inojin Yamanaka and Hoki Taketori will be in a challenge for pride.

After the written test and the test in the field, the Seventh Hokage, to a great surprise, interrupted the festivities of the last ten remaining participants with the announcement of a final, strenuous test. This time it has to be the leaf genin challenge each other in a one-on-one fight. Before the "kick-off", however, the boys got a day off in Boruto 222.

During the next episode, the thumbnails of which were shared on Twitter by user @ Abdul_S17, we see Konohamaru Sarutobi announce the first participants to take part in the challenge. Inojin and Hoki. That between them won't be a normal challenge, however. Both are genin indeed under the direction of Sai, one as his son, the other as a member of the ANBU special team for which Sai is responsible.

If Inojin specializes in the art of ultra-illustration and spirituality like his father and mother Ino, Hoki is instead versed in the art of the earth, seals and photographic memory. Who will triumph here in the end Fight for honor and pride, Ink or earth?
