Detective Conan is one of the longest-running mangas in recent years, and although its release has suffered several interruptions and pauses, Gosho Aoyama, who began serializing the story on the Weekly Shonen Sunday pages in January 1994, was finally able to celebrate the release of the volume 100 .
A very important milestone next to the now more than 1000 chapters and episodes broadcast and produced by TMS Entertainment, ignoring the numerous excellent collaborations over the years, just think of the two films in which Conan Edogawa and his friends and colleagues struggle with Monkey Punch’s Lupine III.
Especially on the occasion of the celebrations of the hundredth volume, we are returning to somehow talk about collaborations, and this time it is a central figure in the yellow and deductive literature, that is Sherlock Holmes, Detective founded by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887.
Of course, like many other works in the genre, the Detective Conan series owes a lot to the versatile and brilliant London investigator honored by the artist John Doubleday a statue in Baker Street, iconic street where Holmes’ apartment is located. Little Conan Edogawa is now at his side, as you can see in the picture below.
A significant and highly relevant crossover for Aoyama’s work that shows no sign of ending long after 27 years of serialization. What do you think of this beautiful homage to Conan?
