Marvel Comics has decided to finally cancel Non-Stop Spider-Man, the mini-series by Joe Kelly and Chris Bachalo that started on March 3, 2021 after a long wait. The publisher gave no explanations, however it seems that the stop was due to the poor selling of the serieswhich therefore ends on September 29th with the publication of the fifth volume.
Non-Stop Spider-Man was launched by the House of Ideas with great expectations, and last February, just before the release of the first volume, Joe Kelly was very confident despite the various postponements due to the spread of Covid. Unfortunately, the miniseries didn’t have the hoped-for success, and Marvel had to formalize the stop well in advance, as the series should originally have ended with Volume 8.
Happily, Kelly said that the story is revived in Savage Spider-Man, a new comic published by the same couple of authors Due in 2022, so the cliffhanger is only temporary. The details of the new comic are not yet revealed, but the fact that Marvel has decided to bet on Kelly and Bachalo again shows great respect for the two authors.
