Fitness boxing, the video game released exclusively on Switch in 2018, gets an anime adaptation this fallas announced today by Nintendo and Tokyo MX. The series bears the title Kimi adapts to boxing (lit. You and your boxing training) and will debut in Japan on October 1st, 2021.
The software house Imagineer Co, formerly responsible for the development of the video game, will produce the anime in 3DCG together with the animation studio Story effect, a total of 12 episodes for the first season. The direction was entrusted to the actor and voice actor Junpei Morita, with protagonists Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer) as Karen, Akira Ishida (Akaza in Demon Slayer) in those of Hiro and Rie Kugimiya (Juzo Suzuya in Tokyo Ghoul) in those of Janice.
Since this is a short anime, Episodes should not exceed five minutes each, and probably have the sole purpose of promoting Nintendo’s video game series. It is not yet known whether the series will be broadcast in the West.
