The editorial fate of Poison is about to change radically, with the conclusion of the series signed by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman and the announcement of the new work slated for November, with Al Ewig, Ram V and Bryan Hitch taking the reins of the future of the most famous Marvel symbiote which also introduces major changes to the character.
How happened for Immortal Hulk, Al Ewing was chosen to completely disrupt the story of Venom and its current status quo in the vast universe of Marvel Comics. A prospect that immediately raised fans’ expectations, also increases the pressure on the artist Ram V, known for These Savage Shores, Justice League Dark and Catwoman, who commented on the project with the following words.
βWhen my editors at Marvel contacted me to start work on the Venom series with Al Wing and Bryan Hitch, I wasn’t prepared the incredible creative transport that would be there from then on. This story will expand the symbiote’s narrative and take its lore in much more fantastic and unexpected directions. It was also a unique thrill to have this kind of complementary collaboration with a writer like Al and an artist of Bryan’s caliber. Readers and fans hold on tight, you haven’t seen anything yet. “
Enthusiasts can get a taste of the new era of symbiotes in the Spider-Man / Venom tape, which Marvel will release on August 14th for Free Comic Book Day 2021, in addition to the great promotional sites you’ll find below. As many of you will know in the last few lines of King in Black Eddie Brock, Venom’s youngest “guest”, died only to be revived thanks to the god of light called Enigma Force and to become the new god of symbiotes to replace the now defeated KnΓΌll. Likewise Flash-Thompson brought back to life over the course of the series, putting two Venom guests at the disposal of the new authors to change the future of his adventures forever.
Remember, Carnage came to life in the disturbing Jannett cosplay, and we leave you to the incredible transformation of Eddie Brock in the latest installment of King in Black.
