Princess Connect! Re:Dive 2 – Chapter 10: Menu 10 – Landosol at sunset
Karyl hasn’t returned, which worries Pecorine although they still expect her to come back, so she and Kokkoro plan to cook their favorite meal. However, they are alerted to the arrival of Miyako and Shinobu by Yuuki, who tells them how the whole ‘devil guild‘ was attacked by Karyl, capturing Akari, Yori and Ilya.
With no time to process what they’ve just heard, the kingdom of Landosol is surrounded by huge walls that form a dome so that the ‘Gourmet Guild‘ goes to the heart of everything to know what’s happening and help where needed. Faced with many the shadebut Pecorine leaps ahead when he sees a loud explosion.
When she gets there, she encounters Karyl attacking civilians, but before she can converse with her, Her Majesty orders her to attack Pecorine, so they fight each other. Meanwhile, Pecorine tries to defend the civilians still at the scene. Then a call from Yuni, transmitted through the Stones of Landosol, reveals that the princess seated on the throne is not the real Eustiana. Which angers Her Majesty and orders Karyl to kill everyone but shortly after the attacks start Karyl stops because she doesn’t want to do it but is being forced by Her Majesty who is controlling her like a puppet.
Karyl prays for it to stop and asks Pecorine to save her. She manages to stop the attack and proclaims that she will rescue Landosol under her name as the true Princess Eustiana.
From the beginning we should end like this
Pecorine and Karyl’s relationship was ever-present throughout the animated adaptation (both seasons) of Princess Connect! Re: Diving. Sometimes more obvious than others, but it was always there. In constant development. While it didn’t seem like it would have turned out to be a very special relationship up until that point, I have a feeling it didn’t. At least from the moment I saw the two face each other Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 10, I couldn’t help but see a comparison to the first big fight in between Naruto and sasuke.
This is not only because of the similarity of a blonde character with a dark haired one and that they were the “good guys” and the “bad guys” respectively. But in a way because of the feelings that the characters express. Like Pecorine, although he’s always the happiest in the ‘Gourmet Guild‘, was perhaps the one with the most inner conflicts born of fear and loneliness. And how Karyl seemed to feel “lost,” something that began to change the more they interacted. I get to the point where I think it’s a relationship, a friendship that seems like “fraternity.”
So I didn’t find Pecorine’s attempt to evangelize Kayl unnecessary. Especially when she saw Karyl disobey one of her orders for the first time, despite the “love” she had for Her Majesty, stopped the attack and asked Pecorine to save her.
Inside, by the way Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – In Chapter 10 I became much more aware of the change in Karyl’s attitude towards Her Majesty. Proceeding from this, in the previous chapterKaryl was quite happy to be able to eat with her and was sporting drier facial expressions now. While I first thought it was because she was directly “ordered,” I now believe it’s because Karyl herself changed her mind during her adventures on Landosol. Featuring a key trigger such as seeing Labyrista being stabbed in front of her.
Who will be the real Eustiana?
At Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 10 I could see something I had a feeling was about to happen as Yuni continued her quest for the truth, this time with the help of Kasumi. Something that started in the previous chapters when they both helped harvest the rice, but was only shown as a kind of cameo between all the characters interacting with each other.
Although Yuni revealed throughout her episode that she might be someone capable of discovering the truth of the world, her “mission” might not be that she announced it. Something I think has translated into that once again Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 10. Being her who reveals that Her Majesty is not the real Princess Eustiana, however, she does not reveal who she is. Yuni gave him the opportunity to reveal the truth. And that this light becomes hope for the people of Landosol.
Plus, you have to give Rosetta her credit, too. Who would have thought that befriending a rock would be so convenient? But being able to project a live image of Pecorine blew me away.
Other characters in Princess Connect! Subject: Dive 2 – Chapter 10
The main role of Karyl and Pecorine in the plot of Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 10 was more than obvious about the other characters, including the other members of the ‘Gourmet Guild’. But even Yuuki and Kokkoro had their important moments that would help their character development in the future, in my opinion. Starting with Kokkoro and the one that was “wrapped” in this black area. Like I’m in a space separate from reality. Something they’re showing for the first time, and apparently also the first time Kokkoro has experienced it.
As for Yuuki, in Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 10 showed that his condition was not the best. With his strength unbalanced, in addition to his sudden fainting. While that just leaves more questions than answers, I have a feeling it’s because of what happened with Labyrista. After all, she has him as her ‘princess knight‘. And now that it’s been captured and stored in some kind of crystal, it might subconsciously affect Yuuki. Although they are pure speculation and may not be related. Also, I found it strange that Emperor left Labyrista in said crystal after he stabbed her in the back and it looked like a mortal wound. I still have hope that he needs her alive to use his abilities.
A large number of characters from all arcs presented in the two seasons of the anime appeared in this chapter. However, I think the absence of two is remarkable. Knight Captain Jun and Sub-Captain Christina. While we’d previously seen Jun discover that Her Majesty wasn’t who she said she was, the deputy captain’s absence still remains a mystery. Although Christina had already shown her doubts about Her Majesty, I don’t think she is a compulsive character to want to confront her alone. Despite his personality, always looking for someone to fight with.
Of course it seems that my doubts will end in the next chapter after seeing the progress.
