Kentaro Miura, author of Berserk, wrote a work that has kept readers in suspense for several years. In fact, they have held the bank in Seinen Young Animal magazine by Hakusensha since 1989 Gatsu’s adventure in this dark fantasy world full of darkness, blood and suffering.
This means that given all of the chapters Berserk has created over these decades of serialization, many fans grew up reading this work. Because of this, some references in other anime and manga are inevitable. Here are some of the Cameo that Berserk madein one way or another in other products.
- in the Gintama Chapter 426 There is a scene where Gintoki cosplayed various characters and says that he has something too big and too heavy up his bum. The reference is to Gatsu’s dragon slayer, and in fact, he is then asked to stop this berserk narrative and then switch to Cloud of Final Fantasy.
- in the Is It Wrong To Try To Keep Girls In A Dungeon? When Ryuu shows Bell a grave, there is a sword very similar to the dragon slayer planted in the ground.
- In episode 11 of Hen Zemi, Kenji Meshiya introduces himself as the black knight of Berserk, complete with armor and a huge sword, screaming berserk and with a dark beast behind him.
- In the video game Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, the dragon slayer hangs on the gun wall.
- In Freaks’ Squeele Chapter 9, Xiong Mao calls a dragon slayer to fight.
- Instead, there is Bejelit, Griffith’s red jewel, in Panty & Stocking.
- In Dragon’s Dogma there is the armor of Gatsu and Griffith.
- In Yakitake !! Japan, during a memory of Monica Adenauer, there is a samurai holding the dragon slayer in a photo.
Much of the references to berserkers are therefore dedicated to the giant sword with which Gatsu slaughters his enemies. Have you seen other references to Berserk in manga, anime, and video games?
