In September of this year, the fifteenth anniversary of the beginning of serialization of the manga, written and illustrated by Ishiki, Acchi kocchi (Place to place). The author shared a special illustration on Twitter with the following message: «“Acchi Kocchi” celebrates its 15th anniversary. Thanks to everyone who supported us and helped us to come here. Thanks very much!».
Ishiki started publishing the manga in the magazine Manga time Kirara from the publisher Houbunsha in September 2006, and the publisher published the seventh compiled volume in January 2017, followed by the eighth in November 2019 in Japan. The piece inspired a twelve-part anime adaptation produced by the studios. AIC Headed by Fumitoshi Oizaki and scripts written by Nobuhiko Tenkawa, published in April 2012 and distributed by Sentai cinematographic works in the West. According to an OVA that was published in November 2012, the piece has not undergone any further adjustments.
Summary of Acchi Kocchi
Feelings may come and go, but true love always stays in the heart. Tsumiki Miniwa has a crush on her best friend Io Otonashi. It is almost impossible for them to admit it; but for her friends they seem like the perfect match. Pretty and petite, Tsumiki looks more like a friend, and Io’s attitude toward her is friendlier than toward others.
