Via its official media, the publisher Panini Manga Mexico announced that it will release the manga written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi, MAOfrom next June. More details will be announced shortly, including the release frequency and retail price of each volume.
Takahashi started publishing the manga through the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan The publisher released the seventh compiled volume in January 2021, followed by the eighth on March 17 in Japan.
MAO synopsis
Eight years ago, Nanoka Kiba was rescued from the wreckage of a fatal accident at Gogyou Town Mall. Attracted by the deserted passage of shop windows on the way home from school, she is inexplicably transported to Japan’s Taisho period, where she meets the mysterious Mao, a fellow traveler who arrives at a ghostly village at the same time as hers. Together they investigate the strange events that are occurring around them, and Nanoka soon begins to regain her broken memories of the accident and how she and Mao could have something more sinister in common.
