On the official website for the manga adaptation of the mystery novels by Honobu Yonezawa, Hyouka, responsible for Task Ohnaannounced that serialization would go on an indefinite pause. The statement did not reveal the reasons or the approximate duration of this interruption.
Yonezawa started publishing crime novels in October 2001. Since then, five more volumes have been published by the publisher. Kadokawa between 2002 and 2016. The Manga adaptation of Task Ohna has now been published in the magazine Monthly Shonen Ace of the Kadokawa publishing house in January 2012. The publishing house published the twelfth volume on May 25th.
The work inspired a 22-part anime adaptation of the studios. Kyoto animation, Led by Yasuhiro Takemoto and scripts from Shoji Gatoh, released in April 2012.
Synopsis of Hyouka
At the request of his older sister, student Hotaro Oreki joins the Kamiyama High School Classical Literature Club to avoid its closure and joins the other members, Eru Chitanda, Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara. The story takes place in Kamiyama City, a fictional city in Gifu Prefecture that the author designed based on his hometown Takayama.
The fictional Kamiyama High School is also based on a real location, and the Classical Literature Club will solve a number of puzzles, both to help the club and at Eru’s request.
