On the publisher's official website Kadokawa, the cover of the eighteenth compilation volume of the manga written by Masamune Shirow and illustrated by Koushi Rikudou, Koukaku no Pandora. The launch is scheduled for July 10.
Shirow and Rikudou began publishing the manga in the magazine Newtype Ace from the Kadokawa publishing house in October 2012, and then move it to the website Niconico Ace in September 2013. The publisher published the seventeenth compilation volume on February 10.
The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Studio Gokumi in collaboration with studios AXsiZ, under the direction of Munenori Nawa and scripts written by Tatsuya Takahashi, released in January 2016.
Synopsis of Koukaku no Pandora
Aboard a cruise ship heading to picturesque Cenancle Island, cyborg Nene Nanakorobi, a young woman who dreams of world peace, meets inventor Uzal Delilah. The two quickly become friends, paired with Uzal's cyborg pet, Clarion. Soon after saying goodbye, a terrorist attack on the island threatens to destroy their friendship. In an attempt to save her new friend, Uzal gives Nene the ability to use Clarion's body's Pandora Device before apparently dying. With this power, Nene can temporarily master never-before-seen abilities, even in this advanced world.
