In Japan, football struggled to make room for itself and it was only with the Holly and Benji manga that there was an explosion in the practice of the sport. This obviously led to the creation of so many other sports-themed projects, and one that has shone particularly well in recent years is Ao Ashi.

Ao Ashi was written by Naohiko Ueno and Yuugo Kobayashi, the latter also taking care of the drawings. It is a manga about the world of football that was published on Big Comic Spirits, Shogakukan's home magazine, on January 5th, 2015. In the past, many masterpieces such as Buonanotte Punpun have been welcomed, 20th Century Boys, Table Tennis, Homunculus and Uzumaki.

With its longstanding publication, Ao Ashi has exceeded 20 volumes and is now preparing for a new goal. It was actually revealed that Ao Ashi will get an anime. To reveal it, it is a leak from Manga Mogura that you can see at the bottom of the news. Ao Ashi will debut in spring 2022 and so far no further details have been leaked. The world of the speakers will therefore be enriched by another colleague who will present a different football.

Aoi Ashito is a junior high school student who met Tatsuya Fukuda, a coach for a Japanese professional youth team. Although Ashito still has some flaws, he is classified as a boy with high potential. For this reason, Mr. Fukuda invited him to Tokyo. From here Ashito will be moving his steps towards a high-level career.

Ao Ashi is sure to be an anime to watch in the future and is waiting for another famous soccer announcer like Blue Lock to get his adaptation.
